A word of caution from a master electrician concerning electric heaters. They are designed for temporary use and not permanent use. They are not designed to operate on high for extended periods of time. They should never be plugged into an extension cord or power strip. The wiring in your walls are not designed for a space heater used continually on high. Keep curtains, clothes, and other combustible materials away. If you must use a portable heater for an extended period of time use the low setting.
